Ancient History Lecturer Search
Position description
The Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a one-year leave replacement position, as a non-permanent lecturer, for the academic year 2013-14. We are seeking a scholar of the Hellenistic Mediterranean, broadly construed, who can teach lecture courses on the history of the Hellenistic World and the Roman Republic in addition to two undergraduate-level seminars in ancient history. Ability to teach a course in early Christianity would be a welcome, but not requisite, addition to a candidate’s profile. The teaching load will be two courses per semester for two semesters. PhD or equivalent must be in hand at the time of appointment, July 1, 2013. Salary dependent upon qualifications.
