The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a tenured faculty position in any field related to business & public policy, economic analysis & policy, finance, management of organizations, operations and information technology management, or real estate and urban economics, with an expected start date of July 1, 2019.

The incumbent will serve a three to five year term (renewable) as the Faculty Director of the Institute for Business & Social Impact in lieu of 50% of his/her teaching obligation for this duration. The Institute for Business & Social Impact works to build a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable society; to train leaders who can work across traditional boundaries between nonprofit organizations, for-profit enterprise and the public sector to achieve social impact; and to promote social entrepreneurs to create new solutions to social and environmental challenges. The Faculty Director has primary responsibility for overseeing and expanding the research, instructional and other programmatic initiatives within the Institute, and for coordinating the activities of faculty, students and external constituencies involved in the Institute.

Basic Qualifications (required): Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent international degree) at the time of application.

Additional Qualifications (required): Applicants must be currently, or have been previously, employed as a tenured Associate or Full Professor.

Preferred Qualifications (desired, but not required): PhD in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Operations Management, Psychology or Sociology. Current or previous experience in an administrative/managerial role at a higher education institution. Research, teaching, or service that has prepared the applicant to contribute to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
