Position description

The Department of English at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a full-time, tenured Associate Professor or Full Professor faculty position in the area of Victorian literature and culture, with an expected start date of July 1, 2019. The department welcomes candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Ph.D. or equivalent international degree. Additional qualifications (required at time of appointment): teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels. Preferred qualifications: at least one published book; evidence of progress on a second book-length project; experience advising and mentoring undergraduate and Ph.D. students.
