The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering of the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) seeks applications in the broad area of Materials Science and Engineering. The appointment will be at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2018. Outstanding candidates should demonstrate the potential to build a world-class research program in materials science and engineering and a commitment to equity and inclusion, to education and mentorship of students, and to service to the campus and the materials science and engineering profession worldwide.
Completion of all degree requirements except the dissertation must be met by the time of application. A Ph.D. degree or equivalent degree is required by the date of appointment.
