The School of Public Health at the University of California at Berkeley invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position with an expected start date of July 1, 2018. We seek candidates with exceptional promise for path breaking contributions in research and education in the areas of public health data science and/or health information technology.
The successful candidate will have a track record of research directly relevant to public health and/or health services, with potential for shaping the future of those fields. The specific methodological or applied areas of interest within public health data science and health information technology are not restricted. These may include (but are not restricted to) expertise in algorithms, big data analytics, clinical decision support, electronic health records, exposomics, genomics, health informatics, interoperability, machine learning, mHealth, networks, precision health and medicine, privacy, and related areas. Minimum basic qualification: Completion of all Ph.D. or equivalent degree requirements except the dissertation at the time of application and a Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required within one year of hire date.
