Position description

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) at the University of California, Berkeley, seeks applications for a tenure‐track position at the assistant professor level with an expected start date of July 1, 2018. The Department consistently ranks among the top research and teaching programs in the country and continues to be at the forefront in developing programs in emerging areas of chemical and biomolecular engineering and technology. Creative and energetic individuals who show extraordinary promise or accomplishment in any research area within chemical and biomolecular engineering will be considered, though candidates seeking to conduct work broadly defined as “catalysis” will receive special consideration. The minimum qualification required to be considered for the position is the completion of all Ph.D or equivalent degree requirements in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of application, and the applicant should have a Ph.D or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline by date of hire.
