Salary range: This is a by-agreement rate position. Starting annual full time equivalent rate of $66,259.00, dependent on experience.
Percent time: Appointment may vary from 10-15%
Anticipated start: December 19, 2022

Position description

The mission of the California Reading & Literature Project (CRLP) is to provide professional learning experiences centering educators as learners, leaders, and partners. We foster professional growth through reflective and critically-informed pedagogies and we promote authentic and comprehensive literacy instruction that is responsive to students' assets and identities.

We are seeking a dedicated individual for a part-time, non-tenured position as a Teacher Special Programs (TSP) with the California Reading & Literature Project (CLRP).

Job duties will include the responsibilities to:

  • Lead virtual learning sessions for Bay Area teachers around CRLP signature programs
  • Coach follow-up session for Bay Area teachers to dive deeper into CRLP signature programs
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with Digital Literacy Team.
  • Coordinate with teachers across the bay area who attend CRLP sessions and is outward facing.
  • Work in conjunction with the CRLP Program Director in creating Agendas and organizing materials for Digital Literacy Team.
  • Prepare informational flyers and presentation materials including graphics using S’more newsletter software and other graphic design software.
  • Establish and maintain professional development connections with other CRLP regions, other CSMP projects, and statewide and national professional organizations that focus on reading and literacy.
  • Maintain a sense of professionalism with respect to dress, planning and preparation, participation, communication and attendance.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

-Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent international degree)

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

-Minimum of 10 years teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level working with educational technology
-Valid CA Teaching Credential

Preferred qualifications

-Knowledge of Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Gmail as well other virtual teaching technologies, including Zoom, Multimedia Text Sets, Smore, and Padlet.

-Demonstrated ability and to learn new technologies quickly and embrace a growth mindset for change instruction.

-10 Years Experience in teacher education and Diversity.
