The University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, invites applications from tenured and untenured lateral candidates for full-time, tenured and tenure-track faculty positions. We welcome applications from candidates across all areas of law, although subject areas of particular interest include Comparative Law, Employment Law, Environmental Justice, Health Law, Race and the Law, and Tax for lateral candidates.
Berkeley Law is interested in candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research and service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.
The department is committed to addressing the family needs of faculty, including dual career couples and single parents. We are also interested in candidates who have had non-traditional career paths or who have taken time off for family reasons, or who have achieved excellence in careers outside academia. Qualifications
Candidates must either: a) hold a J.D. or equivalent international degree by date of application, or b) hold a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree.
