The Department of Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, is anticipating the hiring of a tenure-track, assistant professor faculty position in the area of atypical development, with an expected start date of July 1, 2021.

This position is within the Clinical Science area of the department, and the successful candidate will serve as a core faculty in the PCSAS-accredited Clinical Science Program (https://psychology.berkeley.edu/students/graduate-program/clinical-science). Candidates with cross-disciplinary research interests spanning other departmental areas (Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental, Social/Personality) are especially encouraged to apply. Candidate research interests would ideally focus on (a) neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorders but potentially including impulsivity, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and the like; and/or (b) individuals/groups exposed to early adversity (e.g., deprivation, maltreatment, poverty, discrimination). Candidates whose research examines biological and/or psychosocial mechanisms underlying risk and resilience in atypical development, including those linked to socioeconomic or diversity-related processes, are especially desired.

Basic Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, or enrolled in Ph.D. or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of the Ph.D. or equivalent international degree by the application date.
