• General molecular biology: Cloning, mutagenesis, DNA purification and preparation for sequencing
• Cloning and preparation of lentiviral transduction vectors.
• Cell culture: CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing and lentiviral transduction of human cells, and maintenance of human cell lines.
• RNA and protein biochemistry: Preparation of mRNAs for in vitro and cell-based experiments, western blots and immunoprecipitations. Preparation of in vitro translation extracts from human cells.
The incumbent will also aid in general laboratory tasks including ordering supplies, monitoring safety training, and documenting lab protocols using online tools such as protocols.io.
