Position description

The Department of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (tenure track or tenured) position in the areas of Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, Moral/Political Philosophy, or Ancient Philosophy, with an expected start date of July 1, 2020.

Job responsibilities include teaching 4 courses/year at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and conducting thesis supervision. Area of Specialization: Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, Moral/Political Philosophy, or Ancient Philosophy.

Minimum Basic Qualifications: PhD (or equivalent international degree), or completion of all requirements for the PhD (or equivalent international degree) except the dissertation at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD (or equivalent international) degree by the start date of the position. At the Associate or Full Professor level, preference will be given to applicants with a distinguished record of research and publication.

Associate/Full Professor
