The Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI) at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for two full-time (100%) Postdoctoral Scholars with an expected start date of August/September 2019.
The Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI) is a non-profit, academic research organization formed through the partnership of UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco and located on the UC Berkeley campus. A key focus of the IGI is accelerating translation of CRISPR-Cas-based approaches to the clinic.
The Innovate Genomics Institute seeks highly motivated, independent-minded post-doctoral fellows interested in working on a project to develop and advance next-generation CRISPR-based approaches to control the hematopoietic and GI systems in the clinic. Under the mentorship of Principle Investigators Fyodor Urnov or Dirk Hockemeyer, the successful candidates will lead efforts to apply cutting edge functional genomics approaches ex vivo and in vivo to identify molecular circuits of relevance to particular areas of severe unmet medical need; collaborate on developing clinic-ready approaches to engage those circuits; and collaborate on preclinical efficacy and safety studies to enable first-in-human clinical trials.
Basic Qualifications (at the time of application):
Candidates must have completed all degree requirements except the dissertation or be enrolled in an accredited PhD, MD or equivalent international degree program.
Additional Qualifications (must be met by the start date):
Candidates must have PhD, MD, or equivalent international degree.

Salary and Benefits:
